Last February, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was considered one of the biggest new announcements during the Nintendo Direct. What is certain is that, since then, little or nothing has been revealed about the title and its development.
However, recently, Nintendo accidentally revealed a new glimpse of the sequel. Twitter user @MBgov1133 reported that Nintendo has updated the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 eShop page and uploaded a new key-art. The change has already been rolled back – which suggests that it may have been accidentally updated.
Previously released main artwork for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (which you can see below) showed the game’s two main protagonists, Noah and Mioh, standing on a plain, overlooking the titan corpses on the horizon.
The new key-art shows a similar landscape, but instead of the two protagonists, it shows all six main characters, which Nintendo previously detailed.
It can be expected that this accidental update is an indicator that we will have news about the game soon. But for now, there is still no official confirmation about this key art.
With Xenoblade Chronicles 3 due out for Nintendo Switch in September, it probably won’t be long before the developer has something more to reveal about the title.
