Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One consoles will soon receive an updated version of the Microsoft Edge Chromium browser to run Google Stadia, among other things.
The Verge reports that Alpha testers from Xbox are already getting access to this new version of Edge, and while it still lacks full mouse and keyboard support and is still a bit buggy, it seems to be a lot better.

A big advantage of a Chromium browser for Xbox is that it allows it to run streaming services such as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna. Also, it should even be possible to run Xbox’s Cloud Gaming service via the browser, as soon as Microsoft offers support for this. That support should be available from next spring.
Besides, there will be better options for playing browser games and using Skype and Discord services. This early version also includes options to add extensions, which you normally only find on Edge’s desktop version.
