As previously announced, Worms Rumble was released today, July 23, for Xbox consoles. However, it was also a total surprise that it was released on the Xbox Game Pass, which is already available for download.
Worms Rumble breaks the traditional format of the Worms franchise, leaving behind the usual 2D turn-based combat, taking the worms into a real-time Battle Royale.
Worms Rumble introduces several game modes, in which 32 players face-to-face, with cross-play across all platforms, in a fight without rules.
Originally released for PC and PlayStation in 2020, it is now available for Nintendo Switch and Xbox.
It’s not the first time the Xbox Game Pass has added games to its catalog without prompting. Just last week, it was Medieval Dynasty’s turn to enter the service without asking anyone’s permission.
