Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced the WhatsApp Pay service in Brazil. This was conveyed officially through his account. He also explained that Brazil became the first country to experience this facility.
“Brazil is the first country in the world to be the launch site for WhatsApp Pay,” Mark wrote on Facebook, Tuesday (06/17/2020).
The advantage of this service is the ease of making transactions like sending a photo. Of course, this is encouraging news for small and medium businesses in Brazil.
Facebook might soon develop this service so that it can be used safely. So users can consistently transact between platforms in this application.
“For simplicity, Mark also said that WhatsApp Pay is collaborating with some local banks, including Banco do Brasil, Nubank, Sicredi, and Cielo, and other merchants in Brazil.
Many other countries will also feel this service, including Indonesia. Launching from Reuters, Facebook has taken care of licensing with fintech Indonesia to establish partnerships with Facebook Pay.
Facebook Pay will be a new cross-payment payment system on all social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
