Valve has published an online tool that allows players to check which games will be launched on the upcoming Steam Deck.
Log in to your Steam account on a specially prepared page to find out what titles will work on a portable device. The site will then show you which are compatible with your hardware.
The games are then divided into four categories:
- verified – productions should work without any problems on Steam Deck;
- playable – games will run on the device, but problems may arise, and ” interacting with them or configuring them may require additional work “;
- unsupported – titles that we will not turn on on the hardware;
- unchecked – items that have not yet been tested for compatibility with Steam Deck by Valve.
The verified or playable games are Deathloop, Cuphead, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Left 4 Dead 2, and Tomb Raider titles. Dragon Ball FighterZ or Outlast, among others, will not work on the device.
The Steam Deck operating system is based on Proton – an overlay for Linux that allows you to run native Windows productions. Recently, another version of the software was released, thanks to which we will include, for example, Monster Hunter Rise and Persona Golden 4.
The process of shipping the device to the first customers will start this Friday, February 25. Then the people who booked the equipment will receive an e-mail asking them to confirm the orders placed.
