Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion will get a 60FPS ‘Performance Mode’ on PS5 and Xbox Series X starting June 1. In addition, it will be possible to play cross-generation. For example, Xbox One players will play with Xbox Series X / S and PS4 players with PS5 players.
The news was shared via an update in the Watch Dogs: Legion roadmap. Ubisoft initially wanted to release Title Update 4.5 in May, and it wants to “ensure that different teams can work on different parts of the game. Those teams will have more time to deliver the best possible experience.”
This extra time is needed to fix bugs added with Title Update 4.0, and the new update adds some Quality of Life updates. As part of these changes, Invasion and Extraction PVP modes will not be added to Watch Dogs: Legion until August.
Finally, Ubisoft has indicated that Title Update 5.0 should be released at the beginning of July. This new patch will add the Bloodline Story DLC and allow the campaign to continue with Aiden from Watch Dogs and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2.
At the end of the update, it says, “You may see a surprise on the roadmap … Stay tuned for more!” That surprise is a question mark that comes with an update on June 1.
