It seems increasingly likely that VALORANT will receive a map inspired by Lisbon. The presence of a tram in a recent splash art reinforced the rumors of the beginning of the year.
The rumor came from a recent dataminer shared by Cynprel, a well-known insider in the VALORANT community. Seeing some of the Player Cards that appear as Battlepass rewards in patch 4.08, Cynprel noticed what appears to be electric, a typical means of transport in the Portuguese capital.
Inside the tram, there appear to be two characters from the game: Oran and Ruben. Another relevant detail is the tram number and destination: 27 City Center. In real life, route 727 (bus) takes a route from Areeiro to Restelo, which passes through MarquĂŞs de Pombal, Bairro Alto and PrĂncipe Real. This can indicate the map’s possible inspiration (possibly, it will be in a central area of Lisbon).
In January, Cynprel had already noticed another allusion to Lisbon. In a VALORANT cinematic, a map appears whose characteristics correspond to the Portuguese capital’s characteristics.
For now, there is no confirmation. VALORANT recently received a trailer for Fade, the new agent on the way to Riot Games’ shooter.
