Roller Champions, Ubisoft’s free-to-play sports video game, debuted on all major platforms last May 25, after numerous postponements. Despite the excellent launch, interest in the game seems to have dropped significantly in the last month, and reporter Jeff Grubb recently spoke about it, stating that the game would be canceled after the release of Season 3. Ubisoft Montreal responded to the rumors in record time, sharing a statement confirming that ” Roller Champions will not be canceled, and Ubisoft fully supports the project.”

Ubisoft Montreal’s statement states that there are currently no plans to discontinue support for the game. Ubisoft fully supports Roller Champions and will continue to do so in the future. Following some problems encountered in the last month, however, the study has stated that the duration of Season 1 “Saturday Night Fever” will be extended to allow developers to correct all the most important problems. Once the work is finished, Season 2 will start.

Curiously, Ubisoft did not respond to the rumors concerning the end of post-launch support after the publication of Season 3, but only to those concerning the cancellation of the video game. To date, the duration of the first and subsequent seasons has not been specified, nor has the plan for the long-term support of the game. We will likely receive more information on this during the Ubisoft event in September.

Hello Champions! Let’s clear it out of the way first, Roller Champions isn’t getting cancelled, and Ubisoft fully supports it.

You can rest assured we’ll keep you updated as we roll forward.
