A few moments ago, Sony shared the official catalog of video games included in the new PS Plus subscription service, available from May 24 in Asia and at the end of June in Europe, revealing the presence of many Ubisoft titles. On the official website, the Japanese giant explains that the presence of the French studio’s video games is linked to a close agreement with Ubisoft, which will bring its Ubisoft + subscription service directly to PS Plus in the Extra and Premium tiers, albeit with some restrictions.
Just as EA Play is available for free for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, “Ubisoft + Classics” will be available at no cost to all PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. The two tiers of higher subscriptions are included in the new service PS Plus. Ubisoft + Classics will bring 27 video games made by the studio to PS Plus, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division, For Honor, Watch Dogs, and Child of Light, all available at no additional cost to subscribers.
The main difference between Ubisoft + and Ubisoft + Classics lies in the number of video games included. The first, for a fee and available only on PC, Stadia, and Luna, offers over 100 titles signed by the French studio, while the second, included with PS Plus, offers just 27, not even a third of the total. Ubisoft, however, anticipates that it will grow this number to 50 before the end of 2022 and promises more additions in the future, so this is simply a slightly less rich but ever-expanding service.
