A brand historically linked to first-person shooters, Apogee Software returns to its favorite genre by announcing Turbo Overkill, a new FPS with a futuristic background coming out in 2022.
Developed by Trigger Happy, the game puts us in the shoes of a cyborg launched on a mission of revenge within a vast metropolis of the future. An important feature of the game, well highlighted in the trailer that we report attached to this news, is the ability of the protagonist to remove limbs and devices from enemies to incorporate them into his body, thus modifying his characteristics and abilities – often in a very grotesque way.
The game also places a lot of emphasis on the protagonist’s frenzy and mobility: depending on the configuration of our body, we will be able to take shots, super-jumps, run on the walls, and more.
Turbo Overkill is in development for PC and practically all consoles on the market: Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S, with a release date, generally set for next year.
