PlayStation 5 is about to celebrate a year, and Metacritic has decided to look back to weigh the game catalog the console has built over the past 11 months.
On social media, Metacritic recently shared the list of the best PlayStation 5 games so far. The list includes all releases; it is not a list with only the console exclusives.
Still, the first place may come as a surprise to many. Based on Metacritic’s scoring system (which aggregates scores from different websites and magazines), the best game for PS5 is Hades.
Hades is not exclusive, and the game has been available since September 2020 on other platforms. However, it only arrived on Sony’s console a few months ago.
In second place is Demon’s Souls, one of the console’s launch titles. Next is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, a third-party game whose PS5 version was also released later.
Do you agree with this list, or is your PS5 Top 10 quite different from the one below?
- Hades (93)
- Demon’s Souls (92)
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 (90)
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (89)
- Elysium: The Final Cut (89)
- Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition (89)
- It Takes Two (88)
- Deathloop (88)
- Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart (88)
- Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut (88)
