Sega will announce a new RPG during the Tokyo Game Show live stream on October 1, judging by a new roster on the TGS website. The live stream will take place on October 1 and include Atlus, the studio that gave birth to the Persona series, and Shin Megami Tensei.
The RPG announcement could potentially be related to the Sakura Wars franchise – celebrating its 25th anniversary this year – after the series’ logo was briefly spotted on the TGS website recently.
The Tokyo Game Show 2021 will run from September 30 to October 3 and include more than 40 presentations. In 2020, TGS will stream four days of content on YouTube, Twitch, and social media platforms. This year all programs will be broadcast in English with simultaneous translation.
Microsoft confirmed the live stream of the Tokyo Game Show and told fans to expect “a celebration with our Asian community and relevant updates locally.”
Square Enix also confirmed a 50-minute Tokyo Game Show event, which will likely provide updates on the Final Fantasy series and more. According to the official event description, the TGS show will offer “the latest news on our upcoming headlines, along with announced information.”
Nintendo instead stated via Twitter that it would not hold a conference within the 2021 edition of the TGS.
