CD Projekt Red will not publish the next-gen upgrades of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2021, according to what was reported in the new press release shared a few moments ago by the Polish studio. The head of publications, Michał Nowakowski, had launched the hypothesis of the postponement a few weeks ago, and now the final confirmation has arrived.
“CD Projekt Red wants to update users on the development status of the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt “, reads the official website.
“The company announces that, following recommendations received from the staff in charge of overseeing the two projects, it has decided to give the team more time to work on upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. The company intends to publish the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 during the first quarter of 2022, and the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt during the second quarter of 2022. Sorry for the wait, but we don’t want to make any mistakes. “
Cyberpunk 2077 will therefore receive the upgrade in the winter of 2022, between January and March, while for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition, it will be necessary to wait until next spring from April to June 2022.
