If you like exploration games that promote Celtic, Gaelic, and Anglo Saxon culture and employ a system of puzzles, action-roguelike, platforming, and psychological horror, you may really enjoy The Silent Tombs. Dundee, Scotland-based Primordial Game Studios are launching their new Kickstarter next month, which will allow players to explore the hidden history of the British Empire while in the process, uncovering ancient Celtic, Gaelic and Anglo-Saxon roots.
Founded by Vaughan Holloway (Former Junkfish Game Designer) and Konstantinos Kalogiantsidis (3D Artist), Primordial Game Studios is currently developing their first project in which an educational approach to British History, involving authentic facts, culture, and an archive of knowledge for players to learn more further about UK Heritage will be at the forefront of the title. The Silent Tombs will guide players through an atmospheric puzzle game where even the tombs are equipped with an ancient alarm system to really get your heart pumping.
The studio also hopes to work closely with Scotland’s Historic Neighborhood and other global organizations to accurately incorporate fascinating history into The Silent Tombs in a way that has never been done before, representing ancient monuments, culture, and events in an authentic way. Walking around, revealing the tombs, is only half the fun. The title also offers a unique storyline where each tomb is different and randomly generated in a new system called “Procedural Narrative.” To allow players to enjoy this atmospheric gameplay truly, Primordial Game Studios uses Unity’s HDRP Pipeline for HD Textures, Volumetric Lighting, and complex Particle Effects, and incorporates Wwise Audio Integration to create a truly immersive player experience.
If you want to support this unique game and also offer your support to indie studios, The Silent Tombs Kickstarter will start in a few weeks on January 4th here, where you can also follow updates related to game development. The Silent Tombs currently wants to launch on PC, but the studio can later release the game on other systems.
