After the teaser a few days ago, Deep Silver has finally unveiled the new chapter of the Saints Row saga, in development at the Volition studios on PC and consoles: the game, arriving on February 25, 2022, will include a new cast of characters at the within the largest setting in the franchise’s history, and will also offer a cooperative mode for two players.
Presented with a new trailer, Saints Row marks the return of the homonymous saga eight years after the last episode: the reboot, ordered by Deep Silver to the Volition studios, will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S on February 25, 2022, and will take us to explore a new setting with an unreleased cast of Saints.
The new adventure designed by the Chicago studio, designed entirely to be playable in cooperative mode (drop-in/drop-out type) for two players, sees the new group of criminals composed of Boss, Neenah, Kevin, and Eli try to climb the criminal empire of Santo Ileso, a new open-world created by the software house to create the “largest and most varied playground in the history of the franchise.”
The game will include dozens of new activities, an arsenal of customizable weapons, and, as per tradition, a wide range of means of transport, from cars to helicopters, through motorcycles, planes, hoverbikes, and even wingsuits to be equipped to fly through the skies of the new explorable world.
The Boss character will be adaptable to your aesthetic tastes thanks to the new editor designed by Volition, while the customization possibilities will also extend to weapons and vehicles more deeply than ever. Here’s a taste of the gameplay in a short video unveiled during the event.
Saints Row reboot will be available on PC (via Epic Games Store), PlayStation, and Xbox starting February 25, 2022.
