Unexpectedly, there has been a major change in the world of Japanese gaming. The producer of such titles as Tekken 7, Soulcalibur VI and Pac-Man 99 decided to leave Namco Bandai after many years.
This information was provided personally by Motohiro Okubo himself in a Twitter post.
“It’s been a while, but I will leave BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment on August 31. From tomorrow, I will be working at a game company located in Shibuya. 25 years ago, I joined the former Namco and met various people. I am greatful to all the people I met. The Tekken and Soulcalibur series are one of the highest rated fighting games. The game Tekken 7 was premiered in 2017, and the game Soulcalibur VI came in 2018. In turn, the aforementioned Pac-Man 99 title is the exclusive Nintendo Switch console, which appeared in April this year.
