Rayman Origins is the fourth title in the franchise and the first since Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc (2003). It was originally released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii, later arriving on PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
Critics received it well, especially praised for its graphic style, level design, and sense of humor. Despite the good reception, the game showed reduced sales, especially during the launch. It only managed to increase the number of units sold towards the end of its life, contributing to its profits.
