Obsidian has surprisingly released the 1.0.7 update of The Outer Worlds, necessary to access – tomorrow – the second and last DLC included in the game’s season pass, “Murder on Eridanos.” The patch, which curiously was not advertised by the software house, weighs 26 GB and also includes an improvement on the frame rate front, which went from 30 to 60 fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Below you can take a look at a few seconds of gameplay recorded on PS5, courtesy of the user Armored Frog. As you can see, the game is incredibly smoother, great news for all next-gen console owners. Unfortunately, the upgrade is not present on the Xbox Series S, where the frame rate remains locked at 30 fps.
The Outer Worlds is the title of Obsidian’s successful RPG, inspired by the Fallout series. The game launched in 2019 and is now available at a discounted price for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
