The first game bokeh Game Studio, the new studio recently established by the creator of Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush, Keiichiro Toyama, is a game of adventure and action geared to terror the Toyama site IGN.
According to Toyama, Bokeh Game Studio is working on “an action-adventure game that will please fans of my previous work,” which includes the “battles and story elements” that you can recognize in the games he created in the past.
“At the very least, this is going to be a horror game,” said Toyama. “But we’re going to focus on making this a broader entertainment experience, rather than a hardcore horror game.”
Although the studio has already confirmed that its first title will be an adventure and action game, this is the first mention that it has a terror theme – although the art in the studio’s ad video suggests this. Also, as previously announced, the game should take two to three years to develop.
“We are just entering the prototype phase, and development is likely to take almost three years,” said Bokeh Game Studio co-founder and producer Kazunobu Sato. “So we hope to put this game in your hands in about three years from now.”
A “quite large” team is developing the new game and, as stated earlier, is expected to be released on multiple platforms.
“We are developing with the PC as the main platform, but we hope to release the game on as many consoles as possible,” said Toyama.
Bokeh Game Studio plans to share progress updates behind the scenes on its official Twitter and Facebook.
