The Lord of the Rings Gollum postponed to 2022

Daedalic Entertainment announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been postponed to 2022. Originally, the title would arrive sometime in 2021. The game is scheduled for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

It was also revealed that Nacon would co-publish the title. According to the companies, the partnership between Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon will “ensure that the game will meet Lord of the Rings fans’ expectations and will fully leverage the power of the new generation of consoles.”

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a narrative action-adventure. Even though it is a vital element in JRR Tolkien’s narrative, many parts of Gollum’s adventures have yet to be detailed. In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, you have a chance to get to know this story. From his time as a slave in the Dark Tower underground to his stay with the Elves in Trevamata.

Use stealth, agility, and cunning to survive and overcome what awaits you. Climb, jump and hang to escape dangers or access strategic points. Although Gollum is not a fighter, he does not shy away from defeating an unwary enemy when the opportunity arises (or to get rid of him in a more creative and villainous way).

Your decisions and your ways will have a direct influence on the personality of Gollum: Always in conflict with your two sides, Gollum and Sméagol, it is up to you to decide if the dark side of Gollum takes over or if there is still a spark of rationality in what one day has already it was Sméagol. One mind, two egos – you decide.
