Edmund McMillen, one of the creators of The Binding of Isaac, has announced that The Legend of Bum-bo, the prequel to the popular roguelike, will be released on consoles on June 29.
The title originally came out on PC in 2019. It is a kind of puzzle and deck-building spin-off, which somewhat maintains the roguelike style of the games but changes its gameplay, perspective, and internal dynamics. Although it was originally published on Steam and iOS, hypothetical versions for consoles had been talked about many times, but they had never materialized.
Yesterday, McMillen himself announced on his Twitter account that the game would arrive on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms in just a couple of weeks. The official pages of the stores of each platform are already available, although the price has not yet been confirmed.
