Bethesda Game Studios has released the latest update related to the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, which, among other things, aims to solve some black screen problems reported by players at its start. The update, however, makes the software dedicated to mod management incompatible.
Bethesda Game Studios has released update 1.6.323 on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Steam, which mainly solves the black screen problem that occurred to some players trying to launch the game client or load saves (including advanced ones) of games already started.
All that glitters is not gold, however, because the update, despite being quite small, has re-proposed the big problem that has already occurred right at the launch of the roleplay anniversary re-edition last November 11, or the lack of compatibility of some (if not all) mods with the latest version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Furthermore, this headache also occurs to those who have not purchased the upgrade to the new definitive edition. The latter is considered only an update of the Special Edition and not as a separate product. Therefore all possible patches are shared among them.
Therefore, players who have customized their games with various mods are advised to wait for the release of new versions of the same compatible with the latest update or start the game in offline mode by forcing the update to fail. Here is the complete list of release notes:
- Fixed a problem preventing some doors in Rielle from opening properly.
- Fixed an issue where Russian and Polish notes were not displaying text properly.
- Fixed an issue where German and French players were given incorrect menu text when leveling up.
- Fixed an issue where players were experiencing a “black screen” and upon launching.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition includes over five hundred new modder-made and Bethesda-approved content, including weapons, gear, quests, explorable areas, and more. In addition, the new version is sold with all the game’s DLCs including, an upgrade for the next-gen and new game mechanics, including fishing.
