The fact that PlayStation has not attended Gamescom 2022 does not mean that it cannot make its announcements, and it has just published the launch trailer for The Last of Us: Part I, the remake of the acclaimed Naughty Dog game that appeared originally on PS3.
It is more than a minute and a half of the trailer that shows several of the game’s characteristic scenes but this new version. It is a complete remake, at a visual level, that respects the original work at a playable level but incorporates several improvements beyond the graphics.
The game will arrive on PS5 on September 2 and later on PC (a label is shown in the trailer indicating that it is in active development for this platform).
The Last of Us: Part I will take advantage of PS5 visually and by taking advantage of unique DualSense features such as adaptive triggers and haptic vibration. In addition, it has 3D audio and the possibility of enjoying it in two graphic modes: native 4K at 30 FPS or dynamic 4K at 60 FPS.
In addition to The Last of Us: Part I, Naughty Dog is working on another game in the franchise focused on multiplayer, although it will also have its own interesting story, in the words of Neil Druckmann himself. This same week we have also been able to see a trailer for the series of The Last of Us that is preparing its premiere on HBO Max.
