The Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines, revealed today at Twitch, with ZeniMax Online Studios’ team, the great chapter of this year – Blackwood details for the annual adventure Gates of Oblivion, of The Elder Scrolls Online.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood
ESO: Blackwood arrives on the PC on June 1 and on consoles on June 8.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood is this year’s great History Chapter, which instructs players to discover the schemes of the daedric prince Mehrunes Dagon, 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Blackwood brings more than 30 hours of a new main story, many side missions, countless quality of life resources, and, for the first time, introduces the Companions, companies that will venture into Tamriel alongside the player. The new Chapter will take players from the walls of the Imperial City of Leyawiin, which first appeared in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, to the dark marshes of Shadowfen, and, of course, to the mysterious Blackwood region, where they will unveil the daédrico plot.
The new Rockgrove challenge, Oblivion Portal world events, unique rewards from this Chapter, and more news will bring current and new ESO players a year of evil destruction.
Dungeon DLC in March – Flames of Ambition
Flames of Ambition, dungeon DLC, will start ESO 2021, arriving on March 8 for PC, Mac, Stadia, and March 16 for Xbox and PlayStation. Flames of Ambition opens the annual Gates of Oblivion story with new dungeons that reveal the threat of Mehrunes Dagon and guides players through the story of the Blackwood Chapter, which arrives in June.
In addition to new dungeons to be launched in the third quarter after the Blackwood Chapter launch, a year-end story DLC will introduce players to the climax of the annual adventure, throwing them right into the heart of the infamous Deadlands, the personal kingdom of Mehrunes Dagon in Oblivion. We will share more details about the third quarter dungeons and the year-end story, which promise new adventures and new areas in the future.
