After Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six, Ubisoft is preparing to bring another of its most successful franchises to mobile devices. The Division Resurgence, the name of the new free-to-play game set in The Division universe, was announced by the French studio with a first trailer and will arrive on iOS and Android “soon,” perhaps before the end of the year. The shooter can be played in single-player or co-op and obviously will be supported for a long time with the classic live service system.
Ubisoft describes The Division Resurgence as a free-to-play third-person shooter, allowing players to freely explore New York and experience an unreleased story alone or in a company. The game will include “story missions and many PvE activities” and will be able to count on a technical sector of the highest quality. Most of the mechanics are taken from the first two chapters of the series, Tom Clancy’s The Division and The Division 2, so it will be possible to freely explore the open world, unlock classes and upgrade your character. Still, nothing has been confirmed at the moment regarding PvP.
The Division Resurgence will be out soon on iOS and Android, and a first Closed Alpha is already planned. To register and try the game in advance, click on this link and follow Ubisoft’s instructions.
