During the Game Awards 2020, Striking Distance, a studio led by Glen Schofield (creator of Dead Space ), announced The Callisto Protocol, a narrative single-player survival horror game. Watch the game trailer below.

Set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror. The game challenges players to escape the maximum-security Black Iron Prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. A blend of horror, action, and immersive storytelling, the game aims to set a new bar for horror in interactive entertainment.

The Callisto Protocol will be published by Krafton, responsible for distributing games like TERA and Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. The title is expected to be released sometime in 2022. In addition to the PC, the game will also reach consoles, but specific platforms have not been released.
