Nate Purkeypile, a 14+ year veteran of Bethesda where he worked on Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76, announced his first game – The Axis Unseen. It is a first-person hunting game set in an open fantasy world.
As you can see in the trailer below, The Axis Unseen has impressive graphics. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, it is still at an early stage of development.
Purkeypille describes The Axis Unseen in a curious way – “heavy metal hunting game and horror in an open world.” As he explains, the players are both predators and prey: “Hunt and chase monsters trapped outside of time. Improve your bow and senses. Reach shelter before nightfall. And don’t forget, you’re also being hunted.”
The game’s music was in the hands of Clifford Meyer, a veteran of the post-metal world, known for his work on Red Sparowes and ISIS.
Next year, The Axis Unseen is due for release and is already listed on Steam and Epic Games Store.
