Neon Giant has released the new update patch for The Ascent, which fixes some Co-Op issues and adds ray-tracing to the PC version of the game. The patch also includes a bunch of stability fixes.
As stated by the latest patch notes, this update is available for the Steam version of The Ascent and will be released shortly for Xbox and Windows 10 players.
The addition of ray tracing is important, as gamers quickly discovered that while The Ascent on Steam featured NVIDIA’s DLSS and ray tracing, the Xbox Game Pass version for PC did not. While there is no news about DLSS support yet, this is a welcome addition for Game Pass players.
It’s also important to reiterate that ray tracing and DLSS are only supported on the PC version of The Ascent, which means Xbox Series X / S players still don’t have them.
Co-op fixes include resolving an issue where Player 1 and Player 2 have controller focus issues on certain menus, resolving some weapon replication issues in online co-op, troubleshooting where the host leaving the game could cause the client to lose progress, and more.
The patch also includes many stability fixes, progress saves, translation fixes, and much more.
