The System Shock remake developers from Nightdive Studios have posted the latest development information on the project’s Kickstarter page. In particular, it became known that pre-orders for PC will open at the end of February on Steam, GOG, and Epic Game Store.
At the same time, a new demo version will be released, which will include the medical level, cyberspace level, full dismemberment, all recently recorded voice cues, and a lot of additional functions and improvements.
Anyone who pre-ordered the System Shock remake will receive System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free, along with all Kickstarter / Backerkit sponsors who donated over $ 30. The authors plan to release a remake of System Shock and System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition around the same time, even though the latter has grown into something more than they planned. This will be the complete source port on the KEX engine. All character and weapon models will be overhauled, and mods will be added to become standard for many dedicated System Shock 2 players.
