During the 505 Games, Showcase organized today by the Italian publisher, the postponement of Stray Blade, the action RPG with anthropomorphic animals from Point Blank Studios, was announced. The game was announced with a trailer during Gamescom 2021 and was due to debut by the end of the year, but the studio has decided to take a few more months to file the final details, postponing the launch to 2023.
Point Blank Studios describe Stray Blade as an action RPG in which players take on the role of an adventurer, Farren, as he explores the ancient valley of Acrea along with his companion, the Xhinnon wolf Boji. Users will have to unravel the past of the forgotten valley and master the powers of the three-acrean metals to restore peace to a land ravaged by war. On the gameplay side, the peculiarity of Stray Blade lies in its brutal, fast, and adrenaline-fueled combat system, which will allow you to face epic enemies and unlock talents for both protagonists.
The pre-orders of Stray Blade are available from today on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. At the same time, the public beta that the developers promised in recent months will suffer an unspecified delay. However, the team aims to bring on board as many PC users as possible to obtain honest feedback from its community on the state of the game, given the final debut scheduled for next year.
