Spiders and Nacon have announced the postponement of Steelrising, the new steampunk action RPG coming out on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. In July 2020, Steelrising should have been released in a few months, and more precisely, in June 2022, the development company was forced to postpone the launch to 8 September due to production delays. To apologize, the studio has released a new gameplay video, shared by the US newspaper Game Informer.
In Steelrising, players will play Aegis, one of the automatons created by Louis XVI during an alternate version of the French Revolution. The robot, assigned as the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette, will have the task of repelling all the out-of-control machines created by the King and restoring peace to France.
Below you can check out the new gameplay video, with a soulslike combat system that borrows some mechanics from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Spiders tried to refine the formula used in Greedfall, and at least on the design front, the game feels much more inspired.
