Nacon has officially opened the pre-orders for the two editions of Steelrising, the new soulslike steampunk developed by the French studio Spiders. The game will be released on September 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC, and pre-ordering it now, you will get two exclusive bonuses: an alternative skin for the protagonist Aegis and access to the Closed Beta, starting from August 25. The Bastille Edition, offered on all online stores at a slightly higher price, also includes the “Cagliostro’s Secrets” DLC with a new storyline, new characters, an area to explore, weapons, enemies, a boss, and additional skins.
Steelrising is presented as a more linear action RPG than Greedfall, the latest project by Spiders, but still extremely refined, fun, and rich in content. The adventure will tell the deeds of Aegis, one of the automatons created by Louis XVI during an alternate version of the French Revolution. The robot, assigned as the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette, will have the task of repelling all the out-of-control machines created by the King and restoring peace to France.
By pre-ordering the Bastille Edition, it will be possible to obtain the Cagliostro Secrets DLC, which offers a fairly important amount of content for the price at which it is proposed. In this additional story, Aegis will have to travel to a new area to discover a secret structure created by Louis XVI, which houses “the secret of the alchemy that controls the automatons.” In addition to the new story, this DLC will include weapons, additional characters to talk to, new lore information, enemies, alternate costumes, and a unique boss.
Steelrising will debut on September 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. More details on the game will be revealed on July 7 during Nacon Connect 2022, while those who pre-order the game will be able to start the adventure in preview from August 25, the day of the Beta release.
