A Nintendo Switch-style portable computer seems to be an interesting idea. Valve is implementing the concept via Steam Deck, but a follower is already on the horizon – AyaNeo Air Plus.
The device will be cheaper, priced at $ 289. Inside we find a new Mendocino processor from AMD, in the sphere of cores identical to what the corporation responsible for Steam offers.
This proprietary operating system is based on Linux, called AYA Neo OS. However, those interested will also install Windows or – probably key – Steam OS, opening the way to a wide range of games.
Details on performance are currently unknown, although unofficially, there are only two computing units in the graphics chip (Valve hardware has eight). There are also plans to make more powerful – and more expensive – models.
The equipment has a 6-inch 1080p display and M.2 2280 slot for memory. The premiere will be later this year, and the first series of the cheapest version will cost only $ 200, half the price of Steam Deck.
