Sony has surprisingly announced a new State of Play, the event in which new information is revealed about the video games coming out on PS4 and PS5. The appointment is set for Wednesday, 27 October 2021, live on Twitch and YouTube, starting at 2:00 pm PT / 10:00 pm BST, and will last about twenty minutes.
Sony has only confirmed that it will be an event dedicated to third-party video games, and therefore not developed by the PlayStation Studios team. As a result, no new information will be revealed on God of War: Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and other exclusives coming out in the future, but only on video games developed by third parties and also coming out on PlayStation.
Among the possible guests, there is certainly Square Enix, which could show the exclusive temporal Forspoken (also coming out on PC), Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, or Final Fantasy XVI, which we know to be at an excellent point in development.
Sifu, Sloclap’s martial arts-focused action video game, is out in February 2022 on PS4, PS5, and PC and will most likely be present, as will Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo, out on PC and PS5 (exclusive to time) and currently does not have a release date. Hogwarts: Legacy, Elden Ring, and Dying Light 2 could be shown, as well as the much talked about remake developed by Bluepoint.
And what do you expect from this State of Play? Let us know in the comments!
