Starfield was scheduled for November 2022, and although we still know practically nothing about the game (something that will be resolved within days), the Bethesda game was one of the most anticipated games for this year, a possible candidate for game of the year that however has been postponed to 2023.
Bethesda Game Studios asked for more time to develop Starfield and give vision to their ambition to create an epic game. Microsoft Gaming consented, and the result was a delay to 2023, a prediction that could get much more specific based on new information.
As shared on Reddit, the official Game Pass website lists the additional information that “Starfield is expected in early 2023,” which could suggest a release in the first few months of next year.
The wait for Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years will continue to be longer than desired, especially as it could mean a slide into the next The Elder Scroll, but the arrival of the first official trailer and a possible date for the first few months of 2023 could greatly mitigate the blow.
The 5th of May is National Astronaut Day in the United States, and given Todd Howard’s taste for meaningful dates, it could be a possible candidate for the launch of Starfield.
