A little over six months ago, Aspyr brought the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to the Nintendo Switch, and just a few weeks ago, on June 8, 2022, the studio also released the port of the 2004 sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. These two great classics should have rekindled the passion for the saga in many fans and perhaps captured the interest of new players. Still, at the moment, the situation is the least disastrous since the new chapter is not even complete and has various optimization problems.
According to what was reported by some fans, at the moment, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords cannot be completed on Nintendo Switch due to a bug that occurred during one of the missions on Onderon, about halfway through the story, due to a crash that for many players occurs immediately after a specific cutscene. Aspyr responded by stating that he is aware of the situation and is actively working on a patch but has no timeline for launch. If you were stuck at that point, you just had to wait.
Aspyr is working hard on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, due out in 2023/24 on PS5 and in the future on PC, and he probably didn’t expect to have to deal with such an issue. The patch release could take a few days or even weeks, so at the moment, fans just have to arm themselves with patience and wait for the update to arrive.
