As we know, currently Sony has released its new next-gen console, the PlayStation 5. This makes Sony not too focused on developing the PlayStation 4 console because it is considered ‘old.’
Talking about the PlayStation 4, there has just been a report from a leaker named Cheesemeister, which states that Sony retailers in Japan have confirmed that there are several PS4 models that Sony will stop producing.
It is known that the models in question are PS4 500GB Glacier White, PS4 1TB Jet Black, PS4 1TB Glacier White, PS4 2TB Jet Black, and PS4 Pro 1TB Glacier White.
But until now, Sony still has not provided official confirmation regarding the cessation of several PlayStation 4 models.
But if the information is correct, it wouldn’t hurt if Sony decided to stop producing the PlayStation 4, especially it’s Pro variant. The reason is that currently, the PS4 Pro itself is priced at $ 400, the same as the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.
Maybe Sony is doing this simultaneously so that PS4 buyers are forced to buy a PS5 that is more powerful and can play next-gen games smoothly. What do you think?
