The Endnight Games survival horror sequel to the famous 2014 The Forest, Sons of the Forest, will not be released in May 2022 as previously announced but will be delayed by about five months in October. The announcement came directly from the studio’s social channels, called the exit window “too ambitious,” and stated that it would take a little longer to complete the work.
Therefore after the postponements of Forspoken and STALKER 2, the spring season continues to lose pieces. At the same time, the autumn one becomes hotter than ever, with other great video games coming out, including Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, and Starfield.
The Forest has sold more than 5 million copies on PC alone. This sequel aims to win an even greater share of the public, with a day one launch also on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S. Initially scheduled for late 2021, the game has been postponed to May. Then October, so all survival horror fans will have to wait a few more months before returning to explore the terrifying forests of Endnight.
