Keiichiro Toriyama has surprisingly announced the new game of his indie studio, Bokeh Game Studio, during The Game Awards 2021. The title, a horror capable of upsetting the psyche of the players, is called Splitterhead and seems to take inspiration from the famous Kiseiju – The unwanted guest of Hitoshi Iwaaki and the various Silent Hill projects the author has worked on in the past for Konami.
The first trailer confirms the Japanese setting, full of terrifying mutant creatures that control citizens and feed on other humans to survive. The game’s protagonists are those revealed a few days by Tatsuya Yoshikawa, or two masked boys able to use blood powers.
Keiichiro Toriyama has promised that his new project will be a dark and terrifying horror. Players will be called to make incredibly complex choices and make sacrifices to progress in the story. The project is in development and does not currently have a release date.
