Sky: Children of the Light postponed until 2021

The end of summer is just around the corner, and the promised Switch version of thatgamecompany’s Sky: Children of the Light adventure has yet to be seen. And, as it turned out, for a reason – the release was postponed until 2021.

The developers on the official website of Sky: Children of the Light explained that they decided to postpone due to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, which negatively affected the team’s effectiveness.

“Unfortunately, due to the slowdown in remote mode due to COVID-19 and our primary concern to protect the health of our employees, we had to push the Sky release on Nintendo Switch by several months into 2021,” the studio said.

Despite the delay, thatgamecompany still has good news for fans of the light adventure – development of the Sky: Children of the Light edition for the Nintendo hybrid console is already at the home stretch.

Also, thatgamecompany promised to increase its staff to neutralize the negative effect of COVID-19 and quickly cope with the Switch version of the project.

Sky: Children of the Light is only available on iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Android via Google Play. In addition to the planned release on Nintendo Switch, the developers also mentioned versions for PC and PS4.
