Sloclap had promised a big announcement for this week, and a few hours ago, the French studio kept their word by releasing two new trailers of Sifu, the kung fu game due out in 2022. The first trailer anticipates the game’s release date from 22 to February 8. It reveals the contents of the standard and deluxe editions, while the second is an interesting insight into the gameplay system.
Above, you can look at the teaser trailer with the new release date two weeks earlier. Originally the game was supposed to debut during the fall of 2021. Still, last July, the studio postponed the release date to February 22, 2022, to improve the experience. Today it has decided to bring the launch exactly fourteen days earlier so as not to coincide with the release of Horizon Forbidden West (February 18), Monark (February 22), and Elden Ring (February 25). The teaser also shows the contents of the deluxe edition, which allows users to start playing 48 hours in advance, and includes an artbook, digital soundtrack, photo mode bonuses, and skins.
The second video below delves into the gameplay system, explaining how the original aging system works and some hand-to-hand combat mechanics. More details will be revealed in January 2022.
Sifu will debut on February 8, 2022, on PS4, PS5, and PC.
