Sega has officially announced Sin Chronicle.
This is the mobile RPG that they began to reveal last month (and that received tremendous dislikes in its teaser on YouTube) and will be available for iOS and Android devices from December 15 in Japan. There is still no date or plan for the launch in the West.
As reported by Gematsu, Sin Chronicle is a single-player “choose your own ending” RPG, developed by the same team responsible for the Chain Chronicle series.
The “choose your own ending” thing comes from a mechanic with your choice at the end of each chapter. Depending on what you choose, one character or another dies, changing the story, and you cannot go back.
The idea of the designers is that users share the history they have lived on social networks and that by connecting all of them, an even greater story is formed. Otherwise, it has the typical elements of an RPG, such as exploration and turn-based combat.
