Today, Warner Bros. Games reveals details of Back 4 Blood, a cooperative first-person zombie shooter game from Turtle Rock Studios. The event brings the game development team to talk about the creation process and extended gameplay and more details about the Alpha PC Test that will start today and run until December 21 only in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
Back 4 Blood takes place after a catastrophic outbreak in which most of humanity was killed or infected by the parasite Devil Worm. Hardened by unspeakable events and encouraged to fight for what remains of humanity, a group of apocalypse veterans called the Cleaners came together to face the infected horrors known as the Ridden and claim the world. Back 4 Blood features exciting, dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay and highly variable and customizable action to keep players coming back for more.
Back 4 Blood includes a campaign with four players who act in a cooperative way in which the Cleaners need to face the Ridden and other missions working as a team to overcome great challenges. Players can form teams online with cooperative drop-in and drop-out mode to fight the increasingly dangerous Ridden threats or play solo with three AI-controlled teammates. The game also features a multiplayer mode competitive when participants can play alongside or against friends in online PvP that supports eight players. Teams take turns playing as Cleaners or as Ridden.
Back 4 Blood is scheduled for release on June 22, 2021, for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
