Announced in 2014 by Serbian studio Ebb Software, survival horror Scorn has experienced a decidedly troubled development, full of postponements and long periods of silence. The studio has confirmed that work on the game is practically finished and that the developers plan to wrap up production later this month and launch Scorn on Xbox Series X / S, Game Pass, and PC in October, as scheduled.
This is very positive news, given that almost ten years after the first Kickstarter campaign, many players had lost hope and thought that the project would never see the light in the end. Ebb Software, however, has been working hard over the past few years, and in its latest state of development update, it stated that it would return to show the game before its October launch. All eyes are on the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, the perfect opportunity to return to show this gruesome survival horror.
“Over the past month, our 3D team has finished creating the remaining polygonal mash, so production is progressing very well,” reads the studio’s latest update. “The team thinks they can complete everything by the end of June. Animation and visual effects are our focus, while another team is in charge of removing bugs and putting the finishing touches where needed. We are well on our way to the October launch, and we’ll be back to show the game very soon. “
