Scarlet Nexus may not have had the same sales as Tales of Arise. Between the nomination for The Game Awards 2021, the release on Xbox Game Pass, and the anime adaptation’s popularity, it still proved to be a good investment for Bandai Namco. The studio recently stated that it expects to cross the 1 million copies milestone by March 2022, and to meet the schedule, it has decided to continue updating the game with free and paid DLC.
The latest Scarlet Nexus update, update 1.05, is available today on PC and consoles and introduces a series of new features that will surely make all players happy. Among the new free content stands out the “Vision Simulator,” a simulator that allows you to replay the bosses fought in the main story or the challenge missions, with a selectable difficulty level between “Easy,” “Normal,” and “Hard.” Completing the internships will allow you to receive a score and place yourself on the world leaderboard. The update also adds four new variants of White Walkers, each with a new trait that players will have to understand and defeat, and updates the shop with new challenges, costumes, and items.
Along with the free update, the second paid DLC was also released, called “Bond Enhancement Pack 2”. Like the previous one, the new Bond Upgrade Pack also contains additional sets of costumes and weapons for all characters, made by external designers. The pack also includes new Bond Events and new SAS abilities provided by the Bond Level expansion (Ex Bond Level), which will allow gameplay to be further varied. The package is free to download by owners of the Ultimate Edition but can also be purchased separately for € 7.99.
