Samsung has recently introduced a new camera sensor called ISOCELL GN1 with a resolution of 50MP and measuring 1.2μm. It is known that this camera sensor is present to provide professional photo quality on smartphones.
Present by combining Tetracell technology and also Dual Pixel, Samsung claims this sensor is very suitable for use in low-light conditions without the need for software at all.
As the information on Tetracell technology or pixel binning itself works by combining 4 pixels into one. This makes the quality of photos taken sharper, and also the resulting noise is very little.
Reportedly this camera sensor also comes with ultra-fast autofocus technology, which is claimed to come with the same capabilities as good as today’s DSLR cameras.
Also, there is Samsung’s ISOCELL Plus technology, which can protect to isolate each pixel. This can make more light for still so that the resulting color accuracy is higher.
Unfortunately, not yet known what smartphone will use this ISOCELL GN1 camera sensor. Usually, Samsung works closely with other brands such as Xiaomi to bring a smartphone with the new camera sensor.
