The Samsung Odyssey G9 gaming monitor launched last year with great success thanks to its high refresh rate 1000R curved screen. The company Samsung has announced the latest version of the game monitor Odyssey G9 – gaming monitor Odyssey G9 2021.
The Samsung Odyssey G9 2021 gaming monitor has the same design as the original G9 monitor. However, this new version uses Quantum MiniLED technology to offer improved brightness over the previous version. Quantum MiniLED technology also provides increased contrast over standard LED backlighting. This monitor offers a maximum brightness of 2000 nits in locations when displaying HDR content.
“The Odyssey G9 gaming monitor generated a lot of buzz in 2020 – this year, Samsung is improving the experience with a Quantum MiniLED display and premium gaming features. 1000R screen curvature combined with Quantum MiniLED display technology gives gamers a new experience. Unlike others, the new G9 joins Samsung’s full line of curved and flat Odyssey gaming monitors, ”Samsung said in a statement.
This monitor offers fantastic specs, including a 2K native resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and 49-inch screen size. This 49-inch screen has one of the toughest curves for a gaming monitor, with a 1000R curve. This monitor offers a high refresh rate of up to 240Hz and a maximum response time of 1ms, ideal for active gaming. These games include first-person shooters and racing simulators, to name a few types of games.
While Samsung has yet to release any pricing information for this monitor, the previous model launched at $ 1,699. This monitor is expected to support AMD FreeSync Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies.
