Salt and Sacrifice was one of the small surprises announced at E3 2021. Still, in the following days, it would eventually be overshadowed by the news presented at the conferences of major publishers such as Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Square Enix.
With the E3 pilgrimage over, the producers released a 10-minute gameplay video that shows exploration, a fight against a boss, and one of the new features of this sequel – the possibility to play in cooperative mode.
The first game in this saga, called Salt and Sanctuary, clearly had a huge Soulsborne-style influence. The sequel is no exception, and the best way to describe the experience is as if it were a two-dimensional Dark Souls. However, this particularity does not detract from its charm; on the contrary.
Salt and Sacrifice will be released sometime in Q1 2022 for PC, PS5, and PS4.
