Saints Row: The Third Remastered was released about a year ago, and now the exclusive period with the Epic Games Store is nearing its end, meaning the game is on its way to Steam, debuting on valve’s platform on May 22.
The announcement was made through the game’s official Twitter account, which responded to a fan who revealed the game’s release date.
Developed by Volition, Saints Row 3 was originally released in 2011, with Deep Silver in charge of Saints Row: The Third Remastered, released in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
Saints Row is an adventure game heavily inspired by Grand Theft Auto, although it takes on far more bizarre tones, with stun weapons such as Hulk hands, giant sex toys, or even bazookas throw octopuses. The story retains the ridiculous tones to which the franchise has already accustomed us, following the second game of the series, with a war between several rival gangs.
As for the future of the series, THQ confirmed in 2019 that it is working on the fifth game of the series, although it has not advanced further details since.
