IGN has revealed the first trailer for Sable gameplay, the opening game of indie studio Shedworks. The adventure game has clear inspirations from Moebius and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
In 13 minutes of the alpha game released as part of Summer of Gaming, you can see the early moments of the 3D platform game, open-world exploration, and choices that interfere with the story. The setting is set in a desert populated with nomads, flying motorcycles, and ancient architecture. The video shows Sable traveling from a temple to his home, called Ibex Camp, and talking to people at the camp. The trailer also shows the protagonist’s first hoverbike as well as the dialogue system.
From there, no one knows where we’re going next. Still, publisher Raw Fury promises hoverbike customization, totally free exploration, and hidden secrets and collectibles to discover in the game’s open world. Oh, and the dear Indie Japanese Breakfast soundtrack.
Sable was unveiled to the public as part of E3 2018, and we immediately fell in love with the look of his peaceful approach to a Breath of the Wild-type exploration adventure. The game also went viral repeatedly due to the beautiful gifs in development by co-creator Gregorios Kythreotis.
Although we don’t have a set release date, Shedworks plans to release the title later this year. Let it arrive as soon as possible.
